IN-STeP’s ‘Get Set for Work’ programs are now taking referrals.

We have two (2) programs to choose from, with the programs having different accredited training focus, designed to introduce participants into their career of choice.

You Start Today

Get Set 4 Work – Build Your Future with IN-STeP

You Start Today — supporting young people into real careers.

The Get Set 4 Work program at IN-STeP is designed to support young people aged 15–19 who are not currently attending school to gain practical skills, nationally recognised qualifications, and clear pathways into employment.

With 2026 intakes in March, July and October, this supportive program combines accredited training with hands-on employability development to help participants build confidence, capability and career direction.

Pathways into Employment

Students complete BSB20120 Certificate II in Workplace Skills, gaining nationally recognised training aligned with industry demand.

More Than Just a Course

Get Set 4 Work is built around real-world readiness. Participants benefit from:

  • Job-ready employability skills
  • Resume writing and life skills development
  • Learner licence training or driving lessons
  • Small, supportive learning environments
  • Clear pathways into employment or further study

Classes run:

  • Monday & Tuesday: 9:30am – 2:00pm
  • Wednesday: 9:30am – 12:00pm

This program is proudly funded through the Queensland Government’s Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative, ensuring accessible, high-quality training for young people who need a second chance or a new direction.

A community in step — supporting young people into real careers.

Pathways into Growing Industries

Participants can explore and prepare for careers in:

  • Community Services
  • Reception and Front Desk Administration
  • Support Work
  • Youth Work
  • Childcare
  • Home Helping & Domestic Assistance
  • Aged and Disability Care

Students also complete CHC22015 Certificate II in Community Services, gaining nationally recognised training aligned with industry demand.
