In the lastest round of funding, IN-STeP secured funding to deliver the following programs.
Get Set For Work
The ‘Get Set for Work’ program is for young people aged 15 – 19 years who have left school, or ‘at risk’ of disengaging from school. Get Set for Work offers participants an opportunity to complete accredited training whilst also developing the skills needed to break into the employment market.
Essential and transferrable skills that participants will gain include;
Accredited training;
Certificate II in Business OR
Certificate II in Horticulture
Topics covered;
Life Skills
Employability Skills
Learner Driver Program
Effective job searching
Cover Letters and Resume Writing
Job Search & Interview Skills
Attendance – 3 days per week, for up to 16 weeks
Eligibility Criteria;
15 – 19 years old
Priority given to those that have left school or are at risk of disengaging from school
Ready For Work
‘Ready for Work’ is for young people aged 15 – 24 years who have left school, or are undertaking further education and training. Ready for work offers participants the opportunity to prepare for future goals and gain valuable skills in;
Business / Industry visits ‘Trade Taster’
Resume Preparation and Writing
Job Search Advice
Interview Skills
Work Readiness
Time Management
Budgeting
Attendance – 2 days per week, for up to 8 weeks
Eligibility Criteria;
15 – 24 years old
Priority given to those that have left school or are undertaking further education and training
Community Work Skills
The ‘Community Work Skills’ program is for mature aged job seekers – 45 years and over, who are returning to work or are seeking to change industries and require that extra assistance to meet their employment or training goals.
This program offers participants an opportunity to further develop their employability skills through;
Accredited training;
Certificate III in Accounts Administration
Certificate II in Logistics or
Certificate III in Individual Support

Effective job searching
Mentoring and Support
Resume Preparation and Writing
Job Search Advice
Interview Skills
Eligibility Criteria;
45 years and over
Priority given to those that are currently unemployed
