IN-STeP Launches 2026 Get Set 4 Work Intakes to Support Local Youth into Employment

IN-STeP is proud to announce that intakes are now open for the 2026 Get Set 4 Work programs, commencing in February and March. These initiatives are designed to support young people aged 15–19 who are not currently attending school, helping them build practical skills, confidence, and pathways into meaningful employment.

Delivered in a supportive and inclusive learning environment, Get Set 4 Work provides participants with nationally recognised training in either A Community Is Step, CHC22015 Certificate II in Community Services, or You Start Today, BSB20120 Certificate II in Workplace Skills, alongside essential employability skills. The programs prepare young people for careers in a variety of fields that include, but are not limited to, community services, youth work, childcare, aged and disability care, reception and administration, support work, home helping, and domestic assistance.

Beyond formal qualifications, the programs focus on real-world readiness. Participants receive job-ready training, resume writing support, life skills development, and the opportunity to complete learner licence training or driving lessons — removing common barriers to employment.

Classes run 2 to 3 days per week during school hours, providing structure while remaining accessible and supportive.

Funded through the Queensland Government’s Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative, Get Set 4 Work reflects IN-STeP’s commitment to strengthening communities by empowering young people with the skills and confidence to step into their future.
